Khaled Hosseini- an afghanistan writer, his first novel"The Kite Runner" brought him world-wide recognition.
"A thousand of splendid suns" is his second book. If i say that this is a marvelllous book with good realistic narration i think i will say nothing about it. It belongs to a group of books where you dont need to find an author's special techniques or stylistic innovations. His characters are true to life, their lives are one big struggle in the world of injustice and callousness. Mariam reprents the first plotline, she endures a lot and goes through severe trials. Being born out of wedlock, she understands that she has no right for being happy. Her liferoad contains only sacrifices until she meets Leila , who becomes a real source of joy. Finally she feels that she is needed and loved. Being a simple woman with a desire to love, she sacrifices herself in order to help Leila be free from their husband. Mariam's death can be regarded as a climax in the novel. she is dead, but her deed helped Leila to stay alive. She remains in the heart of Leila and continues to live in a thousand splendid suns.

  1. Continuation: The book not only tells about a lifestruggle of two women, who are trying to fulfill themselves and find their unique route for happiness, but also a panorama of life in Afghanistan is vividly represented. A lot of things about culture and a routine life are portrayed, which make book attractive for readers. While reading "A thousand splendid suns" you may realise how happy you are to lead a life without wars, bombs, slaughters....
