There are some recipes which can bring back so many memories. I remember one special thing that my greatgranny Mary was cooking. The best buckwheat pie ever. Well i am not a big fan of buckwheat but it really works well in this pie. Falling in love with homemade pastry more and more....

Gastronomy festival

 One week of gastronomy festival in Istanbul was much fun. It is a pity that i could catch it just on the last day.  Sharing some pics from this fest. Frankly speaking it was the first time i saw such diversity of bread and i simple fell in love with it. I wish we could have such a bakery in my neighbourhood well one day i am sure i will open one;)))

Being ill

Every timew when ı am ill it teaches me a lesson how precious is every moment of being healthy. Sometime we forget it while chasing illusionary daily needs...

Taksim's reflections

I have a friend who visited  Taksim around two years ago and discussing this part of Istanbul we concluded  that there were not so many things to do besides shopping. This superficial conclusion was eradicated when I visited Taksim last weekend. Having a quiet walk along the narrow streets  discovering local treasures in the hidden corners, taking photos of details made me  think that you are eyes should be always open to see the real beauty, the beauty of authenticity ...

Long time

Winter time and the desire to sit at home with many cups of tea grows stronger... A pile of books around and a folder with movies is my reality of winter 2014. Regular experiments  in the kitchen and the couple of online courses provoke me to rethinking, digesting  and sharing of what ı am up to these couple of months... In a nutshell ı am back again;) 

The mid of summer

It is a middle of July already;) my vacation passes with a fantastic speed .... Visiting some beautiful places in Istanbul is so great.  Time to share photos. A short trip to topkapi palace where royal family of ottoman empire used to live.

IB reward

Great piece of news, my student is rewared with IB diploma. This is a  big success which was followed by many hours of exhausting work. Once again I arrive at the conclusion no pain, no gain.

Being brave has different shades, sometimes it can remind you stupidity or carelessness, but for me this is the sign that your heart is alive and you struggle to make things better. Life has never been so good......

The school is about to finish yeahhhh and I am so happy because my tiredness doesnt have limits.... Today was a good day full of work a very tedious one but a good performance was played by our kids. Every time when I see them doing smth great I feel proud of them.

There is an old building in front of our school. I am used to seeing it every day. Going out of the school Today I saw destruction a heap of bricks and concrete in the place where the house was. A thought struck me that every house wasn't just several walls. It is so much more. A shelter where you take off your masks and get rid of your daily burdens. A place where you are sincere with yourself, where tears can rain and bliss can shine. This personal space matters so much.... This is probable the reason why I am so curious about homes. Every evening while walking in my neighborhood I cant stop myself looking into houses where curtains are open because I can observe so much, how beauty and calmness and peace are constructed and the feeling of comfort that penetrates every little corner....

One of may achievements

I have a habit of writing what to do lists. It helps me motivate myself and follow a list of my achievements and success.
Today I have finished one of good, inspiring books written by a marvelous ukrainian writer. Simple stories about common people their happiness and sadness followed by simplicity of life. For being happy you don't need fancy things.....

Saturday was great. The half of day spent in the park. There are good places for spending the time. I wish i could have more time to do smth nice and creative... Looking forward to holidayyyyyys.....

Coming back to home we met our new garden kitten ready to play and jump... It is so little and sweet and we decided to feed it at home and now it is sleeping innocently on my husband's legs....

What motivates you

Days are good and days are bad, colourful and dull, exciting and tasteless but the most important thing is what motivates you to wake up every day and face daily challenges with a smile;)
What is the value of little things and what power is behind of them. Imagine your day without your favourite daily rituals and the whole magic of day is gone.
A day without a morning cup of tea, kiss from people we love, fresh muffin for breakfast, pages of favourite books, smiles of random kids in the street, cats and dogs looking for a gesture of kindness, wind that plays with your hair, sun that kisses your cheeks, a piece of chocolate that you accidentally find in your bag, a message from a friend that hasn't written for a long time, good news, planning trip routes, taste of new dishes, good people that you meet on your way and bad people that teach can teach you a lot.... Appreciate all of these things without them life doesn't have a taste.....

A busy day

It seems this May never ends... The longest month ever;( killig my time at work with unlimited cups of tea and some books...

Having finished this book. A good example of how successful people appear and all the factors that shape your way to success. One of the idea that impressed me was that 10 000 of hours of work are needed ıf you want to become an expert in the field you have chosen. No work no results;)
